The New York Times Spent 36 Hours in Cork

Categories: Uncategorized

THE NEW YORK Times’ ’36 Hours in’ series is a lovingly put together guide to some of the world’s best cities and locations – on a strict timeline. Written by travel journalist, Brendan Spiegel, the article lavishes praise on our wonderful City of Cork. Listing his three days, Brendan plucks out some of his favourite things Cork has got to offer. Spiegel highlights the multiculturalism of Cork, stating that while 'the “rebel city” is famously proud of its Irish heritage, these days you’ll also find Asian, African and Middle Eastern outposts popping up along the River Lee'. He highlights a number of eating options including The Rocket Man for healthy breakfast, Iyer's for a dinner with a difference (beautiful hidden gem of Indian cuisine), The Bulman and Bastion in Kinsale, Cask, Alchemy and of course, well-known Miyazaki. The article paints a wonderful picture of Cork and its surrounding areas. Kinsale, in particular, gets a glowing review. Read the full article here.
